A standard sweep isn’t just about cleaning, it’s about catching what you can’t see. Our certified technicians use brushes, vacuums, and inspection cameras to clear creosote buildup, which is the leading cause of chimney fires in Minnesota homes. We’ll also check for cracks, rust, or animal nests that could let carbon monoxide seep into your Bloomington home. This service includes a written report detailing any safety concerns, so you know exactly what’s been fixed or flagged. Winter in Bloomington means more fireplace use, so don’t wait until you smell smoke to act.
Call about this servicePellet stoves and wood stoves burn hotter and leave behind different residues than traditional fireplaces, which means standard sweeping methods won’t cut it. Our team uses the right tools to break down sticky ash and tar without damaging your stove’s components. In Bloomington’s dry climate, these stoves can build up dangerous creosote faster than you’d expect. We’ll also inspect your stove’s seals and vents for gaps that could let carbon monoxide into your home. A clean stove burns cleaner, and safer, for your family.
Call about this serviceA chimney fire doesn’t always leave obvious signs. Sometimes it’s just a lingering smell, soot on your ceiling, or a sudden drop in your fireplace’s draft. If you’ve had a chimney fire, or even suspect one, we’ll inspect for structural damage, cracked flues, or weakened masonry that could fail in Bloomington’s harsh winters. Our repairs follow Minnesota’s strict building codes to ensure your chimney is safe for years to come. We won’t overcharge for unnecessary work, but we’ll never cut corners on safety. Act fast: the longer you wait, the more damage spreads.
Call about this serviceCarbon monoxide is called the ‘invisible killer’ for a reason, it has no smell, no taste, and one leak can be deadly. Bloomington’s older homes, especially those near Lake Phalen or with brick fireplaces, are at higher risk because of drafty seals and aging chimneys. Our CO safety inspection includes testing your chimney’s draw, checking for cracks in the flue lining, and ensuring your carbon monoxide detector is placed correctly. If we find a leak path, we’ll seal it immediately. This isn’t just a sweep; it’s a lifesaver.
Call about this serviceMasonry chimneys take a beating from Bloomington’s freeze-thaw cycles, and a small crack can turn into a major safety hazard. Our relining service uses high-temperature cement to seal gaps in your flue, preventing carbon monoxide from entering your home. If your chimney’s bricks are crumbling or the mortar is failing, we’ll reinforce it with durable materials that stand up to Minnesota winters. A relined chimney not only stops gas leaks but also improves your fireplace’s performance, so you get the warmth you pay for without the risk.
Call about this serviceWhen your chimney stops working right, it’s not just an inconvenience, it’s a danger. If you wake up to smoke in your Bloomington home, hear a roaring sound from your chimney, or notice soot on your walls, we’ll come out immediately to clear the blockage and inspect for damage. Our emergency team is on call to handle clogs, animal nests, or sudden draft issues that could trap deadly gases. We charge a fair rate for after-hours service, but your safety isn’t something we put on hold. Call us first, before a small problem becomes a crisis.
